Jim Tressel’s Resignation

Ohio State coach, Jim Tressel resigned from his post. The time runs out on him as he submitted his resignation by saying “agreed that it is in the best interest of Ohio State.” Luke Fickell, a Columbus native and former OSU player is appointed as an interim coach for the coming season. What’s clear, it appears, is that Tressel escalated what might have been a relatively minor storm into a tempest.

  • Heat and Mavs – NBA Finals !

    The Miami Heat’s final game of the regular season was a 97-79 victory at the Toronto Raptors. The victory gave the Heat a 58-24 record, one better than the Dallas Mavericks (57-25). If Miami and Dallas had the same record, the Mavs would have had home-court advantage because they beat the Heat both times this season.

  • Heat stun Bulls with a Comeback !

    Heat’s first season’s journey together was completed on Thursday with a riveting comeback, including a late 18-3 run, as they stunned the Chicago Bulls 83-80 to win the Eastern Conference finals in Game 5. So the Heat return to the franchise’s second NBA Finals and a rematch of the 2006 series they won against the Dallas Mavericks. Game 1 of the NBA Finals is Tuesday in Miami.

  • Mavericks Returning to NBA Finals

    Dirk Nowitzki (FSY) stood on the court wearing a baseball hat celebrating the Dallas Mavericks’ return to the NBA Finals. The superstar who has dominated this postseason added yet another highlight Wednesday night, hitting a straightaway three-pointer with 1:14 left that put the Mavericks ahead for good on their way to a 100-96 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder that ended the Western Conference finals in five games.

So far, it has been an impressive run through the East for the Heat.
